Sebastiaan Zwaans
Sebastiaan is 24 years old and is currently studying History at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. He went to school in both England and Belgium and before coming to Groningen he spent a year in Bologna learning Italian. He is currently on an internship at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague as part of his Master in History.
He was introduced to MUNs when he participated at GrunMUN 2007. Since then, he has participated in MUNs regularly and won a number of awards including best delegate at GIMUN 2008. He was in the TEIMUN Board of Directors for TEIMUN 2008, where he was the Participant’s Coordinator responsible for Asia, Africa and Latin America. He was Under Secretary-General for TEIMUN 2009 and is currently a member of the TEIMUN Supervisory board. From September to December 2008, he was an advisor to the 2009 Board of Directors in the organisation of the Student Commission on Sustainable Development – a conference organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture.
