About the TEIMUN conference
The European International Model United Nations (TEIMUN) is a conference held in the summer for students from all over the globe. TEIMUN is one of the oldest MUN's in Europe for university students. TEIMUN strikes a good balance between a professional atmosphere and social interaction between the delegates. As a consequence, TEIMUN is a very good starting point for first time MUN'ers, as well as being a very challenging conference for MUN veterans. Furthermore, the TEIMUN parties and social events are a renowned aspect of the conference and are just as important as the daily sessions in the different councils.
Participating in the week long TEIMUN conference is a very valuable experience. You can learn a lot about the way international organisations, such as the UN, work and what it is like to represent a country and trying to defend its foreign policy. Socially you will meet a lot of young enthusiastic people from all over the world who all share common interests. Getting to know each other has never been a problem at TEIMUN.
TEIMUN takes place in The Hague, the government centre of The Netherlands and location of some very important international organisations such as the International Criminal Court and the Yugoslavia Tribunal. The Hague has a lot to offer for eager tourists. From an excellent beach at Scheveningen, where we organise the infamous beach party every year, to the countless museums and beautiful architecture in the centre of the city. For those of you who don't have time to see the rest of The Netherlands, there is Madurodam, a miniature version of The Netherlands, where you can see all the famous aspects of Dutch culture.
